Income After Expenses
$25,000
How it works
The Annual Income After Expenses Calculator shows your net income after subtracting yearly expenses from yearly income. Useful for budgeting, savings planning, and understanding disposable income.
How the calculation works
Net income after expenses = annual income โ annual expenses. For example, $60,000 income minus $35,000 expenses leaves $25,000.
Step-by-step
1. Enter your total annual income (salary, side income, etc.). 2. Enter your total annual expenses (rent, utilities, food, debt, etc.). If you track monthly, multiply by 12. 3. The calculator shows the remaining amount after expenses.
Practical examples
- $55,000 income, $30,000 expenses = $25,000 after expenses. - $80,000 income, $52,000 expenses = $28,000 after expenses.
This is a simple subtraction and does not include taxes. For a more accurate picture, use after-tax income and after-tax expense figures if available.
For a realistic view, use take-home (net) income after taxes. You can use gross income if you are comparing pre-tax figures.
Include all recurring expenses: housing, utilities, food, transport, insurance, debt payments, and other regular costs. Multiply monthly totals by 12 if needed.
The calculator only subtracts expenses from income. For after-tax results, use net income as your annual income input.
