Quick Answer
| Label | Value |
|---|---|
| 9:00 AM EST | 19:00 PKT (same day) |
| 3:00 PM PST | 23:00 GMT (next day) |
| EST to IST offset | +10.5 hours |
| PST to CET offset | +9 hours |
How It Works
Timezone conversion uses UTC offsets. Each timezone has a fixed offset from UTC (e.g. EST = UTC-5, PKT = UTC+5, IST = UTC+5:30). To convert, calculate the difference between the two offsets and add it to the source time. If the result exceeds 24:00, it wraps to the next day; if it goes below 0:00, it wraps to the previous day. Our Timezone Converter handles all the math including half-hour offsets (like IST at +5:30) and day boundary crossings.
