Working across time zones is the reality of modern remote work. Whether you are scheduling a meeting with a colleague in London, a client in Tokyo, or a development team in Pakistan, you need to quickly convert times between zones. Our Timezone Converter supports 14 major time zones including US Eastern, Pacific, GMT, CET, IST, PKT, JST, AEST, and more. Enter a time in one zone and instantly see the equivalent in another. This article explains how timezone conversion works, lists common offset differences, and links to our free Timezone Converter.

Quick Answer

LabelValue
9:00 AM EST19:00 PKT (same day)
3:00 PM PST23:00 GMT (next day)
EST to IST offset+10.5 hours
PST to CET offset+9 hours

How It Works

Timezone conversion uses UTC offsets. Each timezone has a fixed offset from UTC (e.g. EST = UTC-5, PKT = UTC+5, IST = UTC+5:30). To convert, calculate the difference between the two offsets and add it to the source time. If the result exceeds 24:00, it wraps to the next day; if it goes below 0:00, it wraps to the previous day. Our Timezone Converter handles all the math including half-hour offsets (like IST at +5:30) and day boundary crossings.
