Ideal Weight Calculator – Healthy Weight by Height (Devine Formula)
An ideal weight calculator gives a rough healthy weight range based on height and sex. Ours uses the Devine formula, often used in clinical settings. This article explains the formula and links to our ideal weight calculator.
Quick Answer
| Label | Value |
|---|---|
| Height | 170 cm |
| Sex | Male |
| Ideal weight (kg) | 65.9 |
How It Works
Devine formula: Men: 50 + 2.3×(height in inches − 60). Women: 45.5 + 2.3×(height in inches − 60). Height is converted from cm to inches. The result is in kg. This is a rough estimate and does not account for frame size or muscle mass.
Additional Notes
Ideal weight depends on build and health. Use as a reference only. Consult a doctor for health decisions.
